Hanoi Off-by-Two

Description

This Python function counts Tower of Hanoi moves but has a bug (n-2 instead of n-1):


def hanoi_count(n):
    if n == 0:
        return 0
    if n == 1:
        return 1
    return 2 * hanoi_count(n - 2) + 1  # BUG: n-2 should be n-1

The correct formula is: hanoi(n) = 2ⁿ − 1.


Question: What is the correct number of moves needed for n = 7 disks?


Answer format: Single integer.
